The Teen Choice Awards pulled out all the stops on Sunday night and if you didn’t catch it, we are highlighting the night’s BIGGEST moments!
Hey everyone, it’s Emile Ennis Jr. with Clevver News and the Teen Choice Awards truly had some unforgettable & memorable moments! I’m here to catch you up on what you might’ve missed!
There were a bit too many to list all of them here, but we can at least give you a glance at some of the moments we thought were the best. Let’s try and do this justice y'all.
We have to start mentioning the fact that the show took place on the Hermosa Beach Pier for the first time ever. No fancy theater or studio, this award show was literally out in the sand giving the Teen Choice Awards the summery vibe I never knew I needed.
And one of the nights most tear inducing moments came in the form of Robert Downey Jr. accepting the choice action star award for “Avengers: Endgame” and without spoiling too much, let’s just say it was well deserved.
However, Robert didn’t go up there alone. He brought along a few mini Iron Men to help accept the award, which was just an all around adorable moment.
He thanked everyone for their support of Iron Man through the years and the group as a whole sent him off with an iconic, “We love you 3000.”

Ken Jeong kept the inspiring moments going as he accepted the award for “Crazy Rich Asians” last night, and talked about how diversity is important in our modern age by saying,
“I've been very, very fortunate to be a part of a lot of great movies in my career, but Crazy Rich Asians is by far the most important. You know why? Because representation matters. Diversity is what makes America great. It's important for us to see people who look like us on screen. And, as Jon Chu says, it's not a movie it's a movement."
Right on Ken.
Taylor Swift seemed to agree with this sentiment as she herself advocated for social change during her acceptance of the Icon Award.
Which was customized to have her cats on it! I mean I’ve never seen anything more Taylor in my life.
She mentioned the US Women’s Soccer Team, congratulating them on their World Cup win and them just being awesome in general essentially, while also bringing up gender equality.
We stan a true queen.
Another big moment of the night included the Jonas Brothers.
The band is on fire, currently on their reunion tour and dropping one hit after the other from their new album.
Last night they accepted the Decade Award that celebrated their evolution over the years and their triumphant return.
But they didn’t just focus on all the fun stuff.
The men also took this time to discuss bullying. They all brought personal stories of bullying that happened to them through the years and that no matter what you should embrace certain things people may make fun of you for because that in the end is what will make you strong and stand out.
Could these guys be anymore amazing?
What did you think of the night? Was this one of the best TCA’s or just an ok one? What were your favorite moments of the night? What were the worst? WHat were the weirdest? Let’s chat about it in the comments below!
