So if you’re like me, a dedicated member of the Beyhive, you’ve probably already tuned into the Netflix doc, added her live album to your gym playlist, but if for whatever reason you haven’t yet watched the religious experience that is ‘Homecoming’, maybe these reactions will change your mind…
Fans all over the world took to Twitter in response to the documentary, but the impact was especially felt among celebrities. Rapper Wale summed it up pretty perfectly when he tweeted QUOTE, “Wow. Beyonce is the King/President /Empress of the Virgo.”
Ok so I’m gonna keep going just because this is all too good. Hamilton director Lin-Manuel Miranda jokingly added, “You guys, Beyoncé looked RIGHT at my wife while we watched last night” with a photo of Beyonce basically looking at his wife on the couch.
And after being asked if Sza would be tuning into the doc, in ALL caps, she responded QUOTE, “BOUT TO RN ACTUALLY BRB”
But it was the internet’s responses that had us in actual tears, after unanimously skipping out on sleep and most likely any next-day commitments as one user wrote, “IF YOU THINK I'M UP WAITING FOR THIS DOCUMENTARY TO AIR EVEN THOUGH I HAVE TO BE UP IN THREE HOURS THEN YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT”. Another user who tweeted from a Subway, wrote, “anyone on this subway who’s not listening to Homecoming is the cops.”
Annnnd another Twitter genius even went as far to rank every ‘Homecoming’-inspired event, obviously listing Beyonce’s as number one, followed by Julia Roberts’ Homecoming television series, then Spiderman Homecoming, followed by his own middle school Homecoming.
Seriously how do people come up with this stuff?!
