Umno veteran Shahrir Abdul Samad today opined that those preparing to challenge the current leadership at the upcoming party election have set eyes on cabinet positions.
"When a group of challengers had already agreed with Umno's participation in the unity government led by Anwar (Ibrahim), the real contest is for government positions," said Shahrir.
Shahrir added that he expected other factions to throw their hat in the ring soon.
