Sunan Giri, is one of Wali Songo andhe was the founder of the influential kingdom Giri Kedaton in Gresik. Sunan Giri Blambangan born in the year 1442, and widely known by several nicknames like, Raden Paku, Prabu Satmoto, Sultan Abdul Faqih, Raden Ainul Yaqin and Joko Samudra

Sunan Giri ruled Giri Kedaton from the year 1487 - 1506 AD, and he had a strong influence of the otherwali. Sunan Giri died in 1428 saka or 1506 AD His tomb is located in the village Giri, Kebonmas, Gresik, on top of a hill in the uniquely-shaped cupola.
