Sunan Sendang Duwur (1320-1585), is another important figure who played a role in spreading Islam in Java land.

The original name of the Sunan Sendang Duwur was Raden Noer Rahman. He was the son of Abdul Kohar bin Malik bin Sultan Abu Yazid who came from Baghdad. Sunan Sendang Duwur degree was obtained from Sunan Drajad administration.

Sunan Sendang Duwur was also known by his act moving the mosque in a night of from Mantingan to Mount Amitunon, that was later on popular as Sendang Duwur Mosque.

The tomb of Sunan Sendang Duwur is located on Amitunon hill in the village of Sendang Duwur, Paciran sub district, Lamongan. This tomb is a high architectural building which describe mix architectural between Islamic and Hindu culture. In this building there is a gate on the outside of the pillar-shaped Bentar in Bali and the arch-shaped section in Paduraksa. While the supporting wall cupola tombs is carved by high artistic value wooden teak and it gorgeously beautiful.
