A 13-year old guitar prodigy slayed the Olympics closing ceremony leaving everyone who witnessed it completely bald.
Excuse me while I go find some glue to attach my edges back onto my forehead.
It’s no secret that the Olympics Closing Ceremony is the literal definition of epic. The hosting country always pulls out all the stops and Pyeongchang, South Korea did not disappoint. In fact they set the bar so high, that whoever is in line to do it next should be shook. Aside from a slew of showstoppping performances, one performance in particular has the internet loosing it’s mind and rightfully so.
13 year old, Yang Tae-Hwan performed the most epic rendition of the Winter section of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons I think I’ve ever heard in my life and put all other 13 year olds to shame.
Yeah don’t care if you’re 13 and offended by that statement because after that performance we ALL need to step our game up in every aspect of life.
To help you wrap your mind around how insane Yang’s skills are, you should know that song was written for four violins as in 40 fingers and Yang played it with 10.
Um, excuse me?
Twitter said it best with one person writing QUOTE – “Best part of the @Olympics? Easy. Yang Tae-hwan. You know, the 13 year old guitarist who played a part of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, written for four violins, on one electric guitar. You know, something written for 40 fingers, but played with 10. Ok, cool. #NOTHUMAN.”
Naturally the Twitter reactions kept pouring in. One person wrote - “Okaaaaaaay this kid with the guitar....... GIVE HIM A MEDAL! #ClosingCeremony.” Another said – “I came to adopt that child.”
Literally this kid deserves all the gold, in fact forget gold, let’s kid this kid some platinum. If you didn’t get enough of the prodigy’s skills at the closing ceremony, you can check out even more greatness on Yang’s youtube channel.
