Tina Fey Confirms Mean Girls Musical Is In the Works

Tina Fey just announced that she’s been working on mean Girls the Musical. Grool!
It’s confirmed. A Mean Girls Musical has been confirmed.
During a NY Times panel interview, Tina Fey, who wrote and acted in the movie, announced that she, her husband who is also a composer, and a lyricist has been working on tuning the cult film into a musical.
We have so many questions… like how many Mean Girls term can I use in 3 minutes? Will it be on broadway? Will Tina reprise her role of Ms. Norbury onstage? Is there any chance of getting the band back together for a musical reunion…by band I mean Lindsey Lohan and the gang.
Well, Fey says the production is still QUOTE “years away” from being ready for the stage. According to Seventeen Magazine, the audience at the panel cheered when she announced the news.
Fun fact- I’m from Chicago and I grew up in a town called Glencoe … some of you may remember the phrase "You Go Glen-Coco" …now it might make more sense. And the basis of the plot for the film Mean Girls is based off of my high school New Trier High School (seriously, check the IMDB). I’d like to think there was no Regina George…but there were definitely a few people who remind me of her haha. SO I want to know if you were one character from mean girl who would you be?!
