Umno Secretary-General Annuar Musa today brushed off claims that the party dropped its plans to sue their former lawmakers who had defected and joined Pakatan Harapan after GE14.
It was reported by The Malaysian Insight yesterday where they quoted a source saying that Umno acting president Mohamad Hasan had decided not to proceed with the legal action largely due to the high costs.
Annuar said that the party will be pushing forward with the legal action against some 30 assemblypersons and members of parliament who had originally won their seats in the 14th General Elections under the Barisan Nasional flag.
