Anwar Ibrahim has described the action of two PKR assemblypersons which led to a Malacca government motion being defeated by a single vote in the state assembly as unacceptable.
"I am in touch with them. I am supposed to meet them today or communicate with them,” said the PKR president.
"This is, of course, unacceptable because they have to respect the decision of the state and our position is they must support the chief minister's decision," he told journalists at the Parliament lobby today.
China Press had singled out PKR's Machap Jaya assemblyperson Ginie Lim and Rembia assemblyperson Muhammad Jailani Khamis, who it said were aligned to PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, for the motion's defeat yesterday.
The pair had reportedly left the House shortly before a vote was taken. The motion was defeated 13-12 votes.
