RECOVERED Usain Bolt was at the heart of a spectacular stunt in New York last night to launch PUMA IGNITE, a running shoe that provides maximum energy return. In the heart of the city that never sleeps, runners powered away on treadmills in famous Times Square through the day with the energy from their IGNITE shoes being collected and stored.  When the threshold reached 100%, the runner rose up in a theatre of light, smoke and fire on a podium over the square and onlookers. Bolt has had a quiet year in athletics through injury but looked ready for 2015. PUMA’s IGNITE shoe has been nine years in development and features an innovative foam technology that increases performance, comfort. A ‘ForEverFoam' compound in the heel is said to improve the shoe's durability.
