The temporary travel ban on Chinese citizens from Wuhan city and Hubei province is unlikely to affect the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign, says Tourism, Culture and Arts Minister Datuk Seri Mohamaddin Ketapi.
He said at a joint press conference with Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad on Tuesday, adding that the loss in tourism revenue from the ban would be minimal and the ministry would not revise its campaign target of getting 30 million visitors this year.
Meanwhile, Mohamaddin said tourist attraction centres should not be closed down in light of the novel coronavirus situation.
