Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim previously described Meta's action of removing his message of condolence and criticism of the murder of the late Ismail Haniyeh as 'biadap.'

The Prime Minister’s Office had summoned Meta to get an explanation and demanded that they apologise for taking down the content from the prime minister's official account.

Meta has since apologised and restored the posts, however, the restored posts include a note that they are still in violation of Meta’s community guidelines.
