Supporters of Pakatan Harapan de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim gathered in Kuala Lumpur on Monday to mark his 1,000th day in prison.
PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in her speech spoke about Anwar's physical pain and having to depend on painkillers due to an accident in September.
"It's torture but he is willing to go through it to free our country.
"So we should not forget the sacrifices of not only Anwar but all those who have sacrificed," she said.
