Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming said his ministry aims to integrate climate-resilient design features into its affordable housing projects to ensure the urban poor are not left behind in the transition to greener cities.

Nga said this in his speech at the 29th Conference of Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Earlier, in delivering the country’s statement, he said that Malaysia aims to establish itself as a leading hub for green investments to drive sustainable growth.
