Selangor caretaker Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said mocking is a normal thing during campaigning for elections and PN leaders also had cases against them.

He said this when asked about provocation by Perikatan Nasional (PN) supporters against Harapan, with chants of “Hoi hoi ya hoi” from Altimet’s song Aduh Malaysia, which is synonymous with Anwar Ibrahim, who used it throughout his campaign during GE15.

On a separate matter, Amirudin said he did not discount the possibility of a backlash from Pakatan Harapan supporters for the coalition's cooperation with BN.

However, if handled in the correct manner, Amirudin expressed confidence the dissatisfaction can be turned into a stronger wave of unity.
