Dr Mahathir Mohamad today appeared clueless amid attempts to link the resignation of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) special operations division director Bahri Mohd Zin to him.
"Who is this Bahri?" said the former prime minister when asked about the allegation.
It was revealed on Tuesday that Bahri had opted for early retirement and had left the MACC in December.
Bahri had said his resignation was due to disillusionment at the Attorney-General's Chambers' refusal to prosecute in the SRC International Sdn Bhd case despite MACC's investigation.
However, Free Malaysia Today, quoting an unnamed source, linked Bahri's resignation to Mahathir.
The report claimed that Bahri felt "betrayed" by Mahathir due to his children allegedly owning stakes in some 400 companies when the latter was prime minister.
Bahri had laughed off the allegation, claiming that they were made by those who had taken "dedak" (animal feed).
