The rulers are currently meeting at Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur. This comes in the wake of Sultan Muhammad V's resignation as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Sultan Muhammad V was elected by the Conference of Rulers as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Dec 13, 2016. His tenure was scheduled to end in 2021.
Until the Conference of Rulers decides on the next Agong, Perak ruler Sultan Nazrin Shah, who is the Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong, would serve as the acting king.
