Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the government will study whether to maintain the National Civics Bureau (BTN) and other agencies, which were set up for the interest of BN.
"All this will be studied, whether (they) will stay or be abolished."
Suara Rakyat Malaysia (Suaram) had urged the government to close down BTN, which it claimed was detrimental to the unity of the country.
On May 23, Mahathir announced the dissolution of five government bodies and committees - the National Council of Professors (NPC), the Federal Village Development and Safety Committees (JKKKP), the Prime Minister's Department's Performance and Delivery Unit (Pemandu), the Special Affairs Department (Jasa) and Land Public Transport Commission (Spad).
