Appalled by the sight of floating sea junk around Pulau Pangkor, one of the visiting exhibitors of the Pangkor Festival, Hong Kong based German artist Liina Klauss took an impromptu protest leap into the rubbish-filled water on Wednesday.
She swam amidst the sea junk for about 10 minutes with two more baskets of water bottles that she collected from the sea over the weekend. She later told media that people need to be educated about environmental conversation and with the jump, she hoped people could understand the gravity of sea pollution.
