YouTube GOLD - Eps 5. SLUICE BOX JUNKIES CATCH A FEVER | RC ADVENTURES

The final sluice boxes have arrived, and its time to start SLUICING! First we have to complete the settling pond, build the New 6" power sluice boxes, get the pumps ready - get the boxes level, and fire up the plant! We have dug the settling pond larger, deeper and have shored up the walls with cedar wood. This will help prevent erosion, and the cedar wood will help prevent bugs from eating it. I do believe this is the worlds first 1/14th size functional Gold Mine on YouTube.
A lot of folks think that I am building a miniature mine site.. and in some ways I certainly am. I am building a scaled down version of a mine site.. that can ACTUALLY GET GOLD! #YouTubeGOLD is a parody show based on the TV/Network shows I love so much that revolves around the northern mines of Alaska. I have been watching these shows for years as I have been collecting my miniature mining equipment. Now, in good spirit I a putting all the shows together.. and doing something fun on YouTube in our own way.
We did use some pay dirt in our video today, to demonstrate how the sluice box's work. We still have to dial in our angles, learn to pan more effectively, and continue to work our way towards our season goal of 1/2 an ounce.
