The Societies Act 1966 (Act 832) is a law approved by Parliament and if there are parties who want it amended, the matter should be brought up in Parliament, Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said.
“If there is disagreement, you have to look back at the Societies Act 1966. It is a law that was approved by Parliament. Hence, we hand it back to Parliament if we want the law to be amended,” Zahid told the media in Shah Alam last night.
