BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi described Anwar Ibrahim as someone who has a lot of money after it was reported that the PKR leader would not take a salary if appointed as prime minister.

On Sunday, Anwar declared that if appointed as prime minister, he would forgo his salary in solidarity with Malaysians who are struggling with rising prices of goods.

According to The Vibes, the PKR president claimed the people were “sick” with prime ministers living lavish lifestyles while the common folk are struggling financially.
