Controversial Indian preacher Dr Zakir Naik led prayers alongside over 1,000 Muslims at Masjid Cina in Krubong, Melaka on Saturday, staying away from giving any speeches.
This was Zakir’s first public appearance since he gave a controversial talk in Kota Baru, Kelantan on August 8, which sparked outcries from minority communities and calls for the government to deport the preacher.
