Yeah, Zayn Malik, we’re talkin’ bout YOU. The boy-bander-turned-solo-artist took the meaning of “knight in shining armour” to a whole new level for the 2016 Met Gala, as he and Gigi arrived hand-in-hand on the Manus X Machina (AKA robot-themed) red carpet.
The couple looked as though they stepped right out of Zayn’s “Pillow Talk” music video, also keeping right along with the fashion meets techno vibe, Zayn in a black and white suite complete with metal-plated armour only around his arms, and the newly 21-year-old, who was an actual human disco ball, wore a Tommy Hilfiger custom-made sheer gown and sequined-bodice top.
Gigi talked about her outfit choice, revealing that she had quite the say in the design process, saying QUOTE, "I am so excited to be going with Tommy this year. We actually designed my dress during Paris Fashion week in my hotel room. I drew it on a notepad. So I'm really excited to be wearing it tonight."
Last night’s Gala also marked the very first red carpet appearance as a couple for Zayn and Gigi, and they celebrated their first time with enough googly eyes and red carpet PDA to go around, so it’s safe to say this happy couple ain’t goin’ nowhere any time soon.
