尽管4年前，身为前首相的马哈迪曾在柔佛新山呼吁，要柔州子民在第13届大选终结民主行动党国会领袖林吉祥的政治生涯。不过如今已成为希盟一员的马哈迪，以土著团结党总裁身份踏足振林山，出席行动党筹款晚宴，并要求选民支持希盟的救国行动。
