The Home Ministry has gazetted 11 temporary prisons to hold movement control order (MCO) offenders and they will start operation on April 23, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The defence minister confirmed this during a press conference from Putrajaya that was broadcast live on Facebook this afternoon.
“As I have announced recently, the government will set up special prisons for those who violate MCO.
“Today, the government through the Home Ministry has gazetted 11 temporary prisons for detainees who violated MCO.
