12-Year-Old Ventriloquist Darci Lynne SHOCKS AGT Judges with Golden Buzzer Routine

The twelfth season of America’s Got Talent premiered last night with Tyra as the new host in place of Nick Cannon but what everyone’s talking about is one special 12 year old girl named Darci. Darci took the stage with her puppet named Petunia and while at first the judges were a little skeptical because ventriloquism can be hit or miss, the skepticism quickly subsided and turned to awe when the puppet started to sing. Take a look:
Darci received a standing ovation for her jaw dropping performance of “Summertime” with the best display of ventriloquism I think I’ve ever seen. Mel B was so taken aback and impressed by the performance that she gave Darci the first golden buzzer of the season which sends her straight to the live show.
And at that point, if you weren’t crying already, the water works were pretty much inevitable. Darci cried, her mom ran on stage to hug her and cried, the audience cried, it was pretty magical. Definitely can’t wait to see what Darci has in store for us on the live show.
