It’s no secret that 13 Reasons Why is a very intense and disturbing show, so one caring fan took it upon themselves to write up trigger warnings minute by minute for each episode of the series.
There are more than 13 Reasons why this show can be hard to watch.
A trigger is something that can set of a memory or a flashback, bringing a viewer right back to their trauma. 13 Reasons Why, with its intense depiction of high school is rife with scenes that can be highly triggering. Keeping up with the tradition of fans looking out for each other, one fan who binged the second seasons painstakingly wrote up trigger warnings minute by minute for nearly each episode. Twitter user @lovesickpalace posted on Saturday quote “
“since season 2 of 13 reasons why came out yesterday and I’ve already watched the entire season, here’s a list of trigger warnings I made for nearly each episode and time stamps so you know when to avoid these scenes if you wanna watch it”
The attachments to the tweet have the episodes in order, followed by time stamps of the scene and what the trigger in the given scene could be, such as sexual assault, slut-shaming or gun violence.
Fans knew the show would be hard to watch, as Dylan Minette, who plays the lead Clay in the series, tweeted out the following the day before the release: “Season 2 of 13 Reasons Why, like season 1, can be unflinching, dark and even hard to watch at times. please view with caution, or with loved ones. if you or anyone you know would like resources after watching, please go to . thank you.”
