Netflix Releases FIVE Major Details For 13 Reasons Why Season 2

Just DAYS after officially announcing that 13 Reasons Why would be returning for season 2, Netflix took to Twitter to share some major tidbits about the new episodes. The streaming service tweeted writing, “What we know about @13reasonswhy season 2- so far”.
Following is a photo of a list with 5 items on it. First- Netflix revealed QUOTE, “We’ll see others’ perspectives on Hannah’s story.” We saw hints of this in season one so it makes sense that the series would elaborate on what the other characters’ truths are.
Number two reveals, “Jessica’s story will continue as she tries to recover and return to her normal life.” Phew. Jessica’s rape storyline definitely deserves more attention due to the heavy subject matter and unanswered questions. Even the show’s stars Katherine Langford and Alisha Boe have expressed they’d like the show to expand on Jessica’s road to recovery.
The third spoiler is a big one. “There will be a narrator, but it won’t be Hannah- No more tapes.” Does that mean Clay is the narrator? Or possibly Tony? Or possibly a rotating narrator? This will change everything!
Fourth, Netflix explained QUOTE, “The season will explore the way we raise boys up into men and the way we treat girls and women in our culture - and what we could do better in both cases.” Were pleasantly surprised by this spoiler which means the show will continue to address the issues of slut-shaming and sexual objectification of women.
Lastly, we’re gonna get some sweet revenge. “Bryce will hopefully get what’s coming to him.” Ok, but hopefully not in a morbid way. However, a rapist facing appropriate consequences would be refreshing and emphasize just how serious this issue is.
