Traffic jams are reported in the vicinity of around the four significant stops of which the cortege of Karpal Singh is making its way.

The Penang state government's volunteer squad is seen helping to manage the heavy traffic along the route, which has grown into a 2km long procession.

At 12.47pm, the cortege stops at St Xavier's Institution, Karpal's alma mater and the band plays the school anthem.
