Let’s find out which celebs are rooting for the Patriots in Super Bowl 51 against the Falcons!
New England seems to be breeding ground for talent because there’s no shortage of stars rooting for the Patriots!
This Sunday the New England Patriots face off against the Atlanta Falcons for Super Bowl LI. So where does Hollywood stand in this match up? We’ve found 14 diehard Patriots fans who haven’t forgotten where they came from.
Kicking off our list is Captain America himself who roots for the Patriots, that would be actor Chris Evans. The star tweeted during the championship game on January 22nd, “LETS GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!!! #PatriotsNation”. Self-described “Masshole” Elizabeth Banks attended the Falcons championship game but still cheered on her beloved Patriots via Twitter.
It’s no surprise that pals Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are fans as the two grew up in Cambridge and Boston Massachusetts. Ben even took his fandom to the next level defending Tom Brady’s “Deflategate” scandal on Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons.
Superfan and actor John Krasinski got pretty excited when the Patriots account tweeted at him writing, “Sweet Brady’s chin!!!----the frickin patriots just tweeted at me!” Don’t worry the Patriots also have some of the biggest names in music on their side. This includes Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, who’s probably the only diehard fan who’s gotten to PERFORM at the Super Bowl. Steven also lended his talents to this hilarious sketch on Jimmy Kimmel where they attempt to explain the Deflategate scandal.
Proud Boston natives Mark Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg are also on the Patriot fan roster. Mark’s so tight with quarterback Tom Brady that Tom appeared in Mark’s projects Ted 2 and Entourage. Speaking of Tom Brady, we can obviously add his wife supermodel Gisele to the superfan list!
Moving on, the team has a surprising fan in Jon Bon Jovi, who is a New Jersey native. The rocker even lead fans in a “Livin’ on a Prayer” singalong during the championship game.
Another surprising Patriots fan is singer Elton John, who happens to be close pals with Patriots CEO Robert Kraft. Rounding our our list are some funny men who also enjoy America’s favorite pastime. Comedian Dane Cook took to Instagram to share a photo of Tom Brady when the Patriots won the AFC Championship. And talk show host and Boston native Conan O’Brien was a LITTLE sore when the Patriots lost to the Giants.
