If there’s anyone who knows a thing or two about the Spice Girls, it’s Adele and during one of her recent shows, she let her inner girl power shine.
If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends.” Adele had an impromptu Spice Girls moment onstage and it was adorable.
Aside from having a golden voice, Adele always manages to break out the fun in between songs at her shows that makes us love her even more and her latest lovable moment was giving an impromptu performance of “Spice Up Your Life.” Take a look:
I’d say that definitely earns her a spot in the group and the real Spice Girls agree. Sporty, Baby, and Ginger Spice all caught wind of the impromptu performance, and showed their love via social media with Geri tweeting – “Go Adele” while Mel C and Emma Bunton retweeted the video along with some heart eyed emojis.
It’s no secret that Adele loves her some Spice Girls after she sung their hit, “Wannabe” during her Carpool Karaoke with James Corden and revealed to James how much they inspired her growing up. She adding that she used to always throw Spice Girl parties when she was little and committed whole heartedly to dressing up as Geri. In fact it may have been Geri’s departure from the group back in 98’ that led to all of her break-up hits. She recalled the dream crushing day when the Spice Girls lost a spice telling James QUOTE - "It was the first time I was truly heartbroken.” So I vote for a Spice Girls / Adele surprise performance stat.
