The RM435mil in unpaid Automated Enforcement System (AES) summonses would not have benefited the government as the collection would have gone to the two concessionaires operating the system instead, said Transport Minister Anthony Loke at a press conference on Monday. He said the agreement between the previous government and the concessionaires was “lopsided” and the concessionaires would easily get a profit from their investments.
