2,539 motorists who tried to cross state lines to return to their kampung were ordered to turn back by the police said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said Malacca recorded the most number of attempts by motorists to make interstate travel yesterday at 886 cases.

Meanwhile he also assured the public that they did not need to worry about the Covid-19 outbreak in the Bukit Jalil and Semenyih immigration depots as it has not spread outside of it.
