It’s been months since Jake Paul dropped one of his first diss-tracks, “It’s Everyday Bro”. The song called out pretty much everyone who had done him wrong, even his big bro Logan Paul. Since then, Jake has put out tons of songs that have blasted all of his now ex-friends.
One of Jake’s biggest ‘enemies’ on YouTube is Rice Gum, a musician who has often used his talents to call out Jake on pretty much everything, which is why we weren’t surprised to see his ex, Alissa Violet, team up with Rice Gum to create a response diss-track to “It’s Everyday Bro”
Just two weeks after Jake released his video, Rice uploaded his own song featuring Alissa called “It’s EveryNight Sis”. Nothing was off-limits for these two and they mentioned everything from Jake’s Disney Channel show Bizaardvark to his hair. It was immediately a success and got millions of views, but three months later and the song is doing better than ever.
This week “It’s EveryNight Sis” entered Billboard’s Hot 100 list at #80, officially beating out Jake Paul whose song peaked at #86. Although it’s been out for months, we’re sure all the drama surrounding Alissa’s boyfriend FaZe Banks and Team 10 had something to do with the song’s newfound popularity.
It’s no secret that Jake is obsessed with numbers and breaking records, so we’re sure being beaten by his ex over a diss-track that’s actually about him has got to hurt. The craziest thing about this whole ordeal is that “It’s EveryNight Sis” is doing better on the charts than some of the biggest musicians like Camila Cabello’s “Havana” and “Honest” by The Chainsmokers.
We’re not sure if “It’s EveryNight Sis” will leap to a higher number or even remain on the charts, but for the time being we are having it on repeat.
Do you like the song and how do you think Jake feels about being beaten out by his ex? Let us know in the comments below and then click here to listen to Rebecca Black’s new music. I’m Zoe Lillian, thanks for tuning in.
