It looks like Amanda Bynes might be ready to tie the knot.
The often-troubled actress has found herself back in the spotlight after getting a DUI last week, but she’s dropped a bit of happy news saying she’s newly engaged to a 19-year-old named Caleb who works in a bait shop in Orange County.
Amanda reportedly spoke to In Touch Weekly and spilled some details about her fiancé and their future together, and some of the quotes are just flat out bizarre. When asked about the engagement, Amanda had this to say:
“I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to f--- them, but I can now say I’m engaged — get away from me. I want to be married and I want to be away from people.”
She also added that they’d most likely be settling down in NYC – where she’s been for the last few days sporting a ring on her left finger – because she prefers walking and riding her bike to driving a car. Her reasoning for this? Amanda said quote “I really do not enjoy driving. I don’t like the way I look in a car. The lighting is very bad.”
And as for kids, Amanda wants to start having them ASAP and would prefer to have boys over girls, telling In Touch: “I want boys, for sure. However many I can pop out. I don’t want a gorgeous girl around. Then I [would] feel way jealous. Ew.”
That is a direct quote.
This is just the latest news from Amanda who was arrested for a DUI on September 28, headed out to NYC a few days later, and was reportedly kicked out of fashion school recently for paying other students to do her homework, among other things. As happy as we always are to hear that someone in the spotlight has found love and plans to marry, it is apparent that Amanda is going through some very tough times and even her parents thought she was doing okay. It was only on September 10th, the day her parent’s conservatorship over estate ended, that things started to take a turn for the worse. Of course we’re hoping for nothing but the best for Amanda!
