American Horror Story UNDER FIRE For Casting Colton Haynes & Lena Dunham

Fans may be excited about American Horror Story: Cult, but some aren’t too thrilled about Lena Dunham and Colton Haynes being part of this season’s cast.
They say your past comes back to haunt you, so I guess that’s fitting when you’re cast on a horror show.
We are a little over one month away from the newest season of American Horror story and although some people can’t watch this show because it literally gives them nightmares. I’m not talking about me. I swear. Others are refusing to watch if Lena Dunham and Colton Haynes are in this season. Twitter user @drugproblem tweeted these photos with the caption: The AHS Cult cast followed by a heart eyes emoji.
Considering one picture is referring to Colton Haynes doing blackface and the other is talking about Lena Dunham being a sexual predator, it’s safe to say they were being sarcastic. For those who are a little unfamiliar with those backstories, Colton was in a My Chemical Romance video for one of the incidents, and dressed as Kanye and Gandhi using blackface on two separate occasions. Now he did apologize back in 2013, but some people don’t just forgive and forget that easily especially when it comes to blackface. When it comes to Lena Dunham, you may or may not remember that there were some quotes in her memoir that set the internet on fire because they appeared to imply that she possibly sexually abused her sister at a young age. She spoke out against this and her sister Grace made a statement as well, but we don’t think people are gonna let that one go like ever.
Some are wondering why these two actors were cast when they have so much controversy. Others are ignoring the controversy and are just trying to figure out if Emma Roberts is going to return to the AHS franchise. Emma posted this photo to Instagram with the caption, ”I've joined #ahscult will you?” So it’s confirmed! Emma will be on the new season right? Well…maybe not. Series creator, Ryan Murphy posted the same photo with the caption, “Look who showed up on the set of Cult looking glamorous and ready for action.” Now we’re confused. Was she just visiting the set to say hi to some old friends or is she going to be on the new season? There’s been no official casting news regarding Emma returning to AHS besides the Instagram photo, but maybe no news is good news. We’re pretty sure this means she’s going to be on the show, but in the meantime, get ready for American Horror Story: Cult to hit your screens September 5.
