Yeah, so the hilarious comedian was just one of many stars who turned out for the TIME 100 Gala in NYC on Tuesday night, where the magazine’s 100 most influential people were being honored. Kim and her hubby Kanye both made that list, and hit the red carpet to celebrate. However Amy REALLY hit the red carpet, like literally. She fell down right in front of them as they were posting for photos.
This was obviously all in good fun, but it looks like Kimye was NOT having it. I mean, they didn’t even reach down to see if she was OK! Amy is BFF with Kanye’s ex Amber Rose, so maybe that’s why Kanye didn’t get the joke? Or actually, scratch that, I don’t think Kanye has ever been in on a joke in his life. Lighten up, dude!
However, things clearly got smoothed out between them, because later in the evening Kim and Amy posed for an adorable photo together. Amy also talked to PEOPLE about the prank, saying: "I saw them, and I asked my publicist, 'Can I dive in front of them and act like I fell?' And she said, 'I can't stop you.”
Amy then said: “I talked to them. They were like, 'What?' Kim was worried for me, and I think Kanye was just, like, scared that I was doing something. They were really sweet. Kim was really funny," Schumer adds. "She goes, 'Oh my god, I was like, does this girl need help?' She was like, 'That was really funny.'"
And Amy obviously had fun with the whole thing because afterwards she tweeted a photo of herself in front of Kimye and simply said: “Thanks #TIME100”
