Ariana Grande’s latest album Sweetener is almost here, but she’s still making some changes including changing the name of her song ‘Pete’ to ‘Pete Davidson’!
I think she just really wanted us to know who she was talking about.
We’re getting our ears ready to hear Sweetener on August 17th, but Ariana is making sure it’s perfect for us and for her before it drops. News broke yesterday that Ariana changed the name of her track ‘Pete’. Now if we stopped the sentence there then it would sound like there was something wrong, but she actually just added his last name to the track now titled ‘Pete Davidson’.
When a Twitter user asked “what made you change ‘Pete’ to ‘pete davidson’” Ariana replied saying, “I like the way it looks I love his name and I love him music lasts forever. it’ll outlive any tattoo, any memory, any anything, even myself so I want my love for him and how I feel to be a part of that”
UMMMM. I have all the feels right now. Find you somebody that talks about you like Ariana talks about Pete. When the tracklist was revealed and fans initially saw ‘Pete’ as one of the tracks, Ari did get many fans questioning her decision to include that track. She responded saying, “He’s my fiancé. This is my album. I’m an honest and emotional artist and human being and if my openness in my work isn’t for you, that’s OK.”
Welp. She let y’all know how she feels, but now I want to know how you feel! What do you think about the name change and are you excited for the album?
