Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson IN TOUCH Post-Split - Will They Get Back Together?

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson may have called off their engagement, but that doesn’t mean there’s not a chance they’ll get back together in the future. A source close to Ariana tells People magazine QUOTE “Their engagement is off, but they still plan on spending time together. It’s not like they split and never plan on seeing each other again. They just decided to slow things down.”
Ariana still loves Pete, but started to feel overwhelmed with the wedding-planning process.
The insider continues QUOTE “She realized that planning a wedding right now felt very rushed. It’s not what she wants to do right now. She doesn’t want to make any rushed decisions and has decided to take a step back instead.”
Ariana has been going through an incredibly tough time ever since her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died in early September. TMZ reports that the rapper’s death left the 25-year-old an emotional wreck and ultimately caused her to re-evaulate her life. She realized, sources say, that she rushed into her engagement with Pete and there is no way she can fully invest in the relationship right now.
Pete and Ariana were together as recently as this past Saturday when she went to visit him at Saturday Night Live. Eyewitnesses say they looked happy together at the show and their decision to split must’ve come suddenly.
A source explains QUOTE “The engagement being called off was very sudden. They put on this front of being so happy but there were lots of fights and struggles behind the scenes.”
Ariana has gone through so much in the past year or so and I don’t blame her for wanting to slow things down and really reflect internally. Who know— maybe she’ll take a few months to be on her own and heal from the traumas of Manchester and Mac’s death and then she’ll realize Pete really IS her soulmate.
