Ariana Grande Talks Big Sean, Car Accident in Marie Claire

Ariana Grande’s gorgeous face is gracing the cover of Marie Claire’s October issue, and Clevver has got all the details. The 21-year-old singer not only looks stunning, but she spoke with the mag about a number of topics – her rumored beau Big Sean, her first car accident, and the fact that her first single didn’t really take off.
So first, let’s talk about Big Sean and that fender bender, because they’re actually related. Ariana told the mag that she was driving to Big Sean’s house in the Hollywood Hills when she collided with another car. She explained that QUOTE
"It was my first time going up those hills so I was going like 12 miles per hour. This lady was whipping around the corner, and I came to a complete stop so she bumped me really hard—the whole front of my Range Rover was wrecked."
Ariana continued: "She jumped out and was like, 'Sweetie, it's okay, it's totally fine. What do you do?' I was like, 'I'm a singer.’ And she was like, 'Oh, I think I broke my leg.' And I was like, 'I mean, I make jewelry.'"
SO I’m pretty sure she’s joking here about what the lady said and I think she’s hilarious. Ari didn’t mention a timeline on this, which we also find interesting so this could have been recent, could have been a year ago – who knows! Way to keep us guessing, guys.
Moving along, we all know that Ariana BURSTED onto the scene last summer thanks to her smash single “The Way” but hardcore Ari fans will know that she released another single before that titled “Put Your Hearts Up.” And while fans loved it, it wasn’t nearly as successful as the other music she’s released thus far, and it’s something she’s totally open to talking about. She told Marie Claire:
“I was like, ‘Guys, there has to be a really distinct difference between me and my character [Cat Valentine].’ And we did that with ‘The Way.’ I dyed my hair back to brown. I made out with a rapper in the video. I made the point I wanted to make. And I was excited to do so after so many years of pretending to be somebody else in front of a lot of people.”
