Selena Gomez is makin’ headlines but not just because her Revival tour has kicked off into high gear, but after her latest cover on Marie Claire, she’s callin’ all the shots, so you best step aside.
And if there’s one thing you must know about the newly revived Selena, it’s that her personal life is personal for a reason… so don’t even go there… JUST DON’T.
It’s no surprise that every single interview surrounding Selena Gomez, no matter where it starts, comes back full circle to a certain ex-boyfriend AKA he who must not be named, but in her most recent interview with Marie Claire, where Sel is looking smokin’ hot in a striped getup, she’s revealing that she’s absolutely DONE talking about her private life.
Selena opened up about feeling exhausted after interviews that attempted to bring up her personal life, saying QUOTE, “I would try to promote something that I loved, and the entire interview would be about my personal life. I would leave a room feeling defeated, feeling embarrassed, but I would always make sure to put that smile on my face because I wasn’t going to let them get to me.”
Well joke’s on you, tabloids, because ya girl has come out on TOP complete with a brand new tour, millions of social media followers (You can probably add on another million by the time this video is finished) and a new approach on life… So you all best know that nobody steers the ship but Selena and ONLY Selena.
Speaking of touring, Selena also gushed about her new Revival tour that kicked off this month saying her top priority was that she keep things authentic and that felt like “her”, saying, “I finally just wanted to go for it. I wanted to do things that I knew were going to be me. I don't want people to look at me as someone who is just this celebrity person.” And although she has a team of smart and talented individuals who present her with great ideas, she revealed that it’s HER who makes the decisions.
And try as the media might to get into her head about HER past-personal-life-gone-public, she hasn’t let it knock her down one bit. Sel said she has been casually dating and having the best time, but of course, being a world-renowned popstar can be tricky business when it comes to judging other peoples’ motives, so it’s only natural that she keeps her guard up at times, saying QUOTE, “I don’t trust anybody, so dating can only be fun if I know I’m going to have fun.”
Hey, whatever works for her, but it seems like she’s doing a damn good job of living life to the fullest.
