Avocado Proposals Will Make You Wanna Get Married ASAP

That’s right, millennials are saving a box and using an avocado to pop the big question to their significant other--a trend that has started to take over Instagram with the hashtag #AvocadoProposal.
It all started when one photographer accidentally caught a couple getting engaged on the beach, and it was clear that the man proposing was holding the ring inside an avocado.
Bit of a coincidence that a professional photographer was also at the beach at the EXACT same time, don’t you think?
The photographer shared the sweet moment of the guy on one knee and his girlfriend clearly in shock, captioning it QUOTE, “I was just minding my business photographing a senior when this literally happened right behind us.”
I wonder if the girl’s shock was over getting engaged, or the realization that she was going to have to dig out her engagement ring from a fruit. I’m just saying that’s a lot of emotions packed into one moment.
A few more avocado proposals have since popped up on Instagram, with one that was clearly taken by the bride-to-be. She shared the pic captioning it QUOTE, “...I couldn't help but share the BEST & most creative proposal/best day of my life in honor of 6 months until we say I do!!!! now where is the avocado emoji?!”
It’s great that she’s so happy, but a quick note to MY future husband…
If you try to ask me to marry you with an avocado THAT brown...prepare to put everything you own in a box to the left.
Alright guys so now that avocado proposals are starting to trend, are you into the idea or do you hate it? It’s a pretty ingenious way to hide a ring in a picnic proposal, but other than that I can’t say I’m hoping for this kind of engagement myself.
