Bella Thorne ADMITS Network Called Her UGLY & MORE Shockers in New Interview

When it comes to Bella Thorne, people have a LOT of mixed feelings. Some think she’s irresponsible. Others think she’s a complete mess, but when it comes down to it, there are actually a lot of things we never knew about Bella that totally explain why she’s the unique person we know her as today.
In her recent interview with the LA Times, Bella got real about her home life, drugs, finances and even her sexual assault. So, without further ado, lets go through all of the most shocking confessions from the interview.
Okay, well, for starters, Bella has a whopping 19 cats. While that’s obviously a ton of cats, don’t call Bella a crazy cat lady just yet. Originally, Bella only had one cat named Lola. After learning about the spaying process, however, Bella decided she didn’t want to put Lola through it because it seemed, QUOTE, “barbaric.” That’s why, four generations cats now call Bella’s house home and, don’t worry, she’s named each of them!
Moving on. Let’s be real… we all have our beauty secrets, and to be honest, Bella is no different! Like us, Bella will do anything to distract from her acne, but one of her best-kept secrets is highlighting her freckles. Of course, there are also a bunch of days where Bella feels like letting her skin breathe and going without any makeup at all, except when she does that, she told the LA Times that she gets accused of being on drugs.
Bella said, QUOTE, “The Daily Mail will be like, ‘Bella must have been out partying last night’ because they got a photo of me not wearing makeup with acne. They’re like, ‘She looks really tired out. Maybe the drugs are really wearing on her skin.’” Wow… we seriously can’t even imagine how difficult that must be, especially since Bella also revealed that she only smokes weed and does no other drugs.
Bella said that while she openly smokes weed now, something people would be surprised to know is that she actually used to be VERY against it. She told the newspaper, QUOTE, “I used to be super, super against weed. When I was 16, my boyfriend smoked weed and I would get so upset. I thought it was the devil’s lettuce. I was always the really goody two-shoes— the one that was the teacher’s pet in that annoying sense.” So, what changed that for her? Well, when she was 16 she was playing an emotional role, and she discovered that it helped her sleep.
That’s not all for Bella’s bombshell confessions, though! She also told the newspaper something we would’ve never suspected, which that she was actually completely BROKE by the time she turned 18! So, although she starred on Disney’s Shake It Up, she only had $200 to her name at 18-years-old, but wouldn’t share details on exactly how that happened.
And, speaking of things she wouldn’t reveal, Bella understandably didn’t want to share her abusers name. In case you missed it, earlier this year Bella revealed that she was molested and abused until she was 14, and although she understands why others reveal their attackers, she said that she doesn’t want to report the abuse because she doesn’t want to relive painful memories.
She told the Times, QUOTE, “I guess that makes me selfish. I could do it. I should do it. You should tell every girl to go after her attacker. You should tell every girl that she has the right to go out there and speak her truth… but then you don’t. Then you can’t even speak out.” On the contrary, we don’t think that makes her selfish at all. There are plenty of valid reasons why victims don’t report assault, and the fact that she even speaks about it at all is pretty amazing if you ask us!
Last, but certainly not least, Bella also told the paper that, while working on the Freeform series Famous in Love, she’d been referred to as “ugly” in network emails. According to Bella, this happened multiple times through email, and once in front of everyone on set!
