Beyonce is taking a stand and paying tribute to the lives of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. Clevver has your look at her statement and her performance in Glasgow.
Beyonce is making a powerful statement and putting out a call to action for Freedom and she’s asking people to use their voices to contact politicians and demand change.
After taking a moment of silence to honor Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and “countless others” who have been killed by police officers in America at her concert in Glasgow on Thursday night, Beyonce posted a powerful call to action on her website. In the post, she was very clear writing QUOTE “We are sick and tired of the killings of young men and women in our communities. It is up to us to take a stand and demand that they ‘stop killing us.’”

The in her call to action she expanded writing “we don’t need sympathy. We need everyone to respect our lives.” She later encouraged people to channel their anger and frustration into action and contact the politicians and legislators and demand changes.

At that same concert on Thursday, Beyonce performed her song Freedom acapella as the names of those killed appeared on the stage.
