Cameron Boyce’s co-stars and fans are heart broken in the wake of his sudden death. Their tributes have been emotional and showed just how many lives Cameron touched.
What’s up guys? It’s Drew Dorsey here with Clevver News and I’m sure you’ve heard the tragic news by now that beloved Disney star Cameron Boyce passed away due to a seizure from quote “an ongoing medical condition.”
Cameron’s co-stars including Adam Sandler, Skai Jackson, Peyton List, and many more have wrote touching tributes for their castmate.
Sandler, who starred as Cameron’s father in the movie “Grown Ups” took to Instagram to write QUOTE, “Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented and most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences."
Cameron’s ‘Jessie’ co-star Skai Jackson wrote, “I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken. I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set, you gave the best hugs. I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had... fly high. Gods best Angel.”
Salma Hayek, who starred as Cameron’s mother in Grown Up’s, also took to Instagram to express her grief by saying, QUOTE, “I had the privilege to play Cameron’s mother in #grownups 1 and 2 and we stayed in touch through the years He was spirited, talented, kind, generous, funny and a shining light. His joy will live in our hearts forever as he goes on dancing and shining elsewhere. My heart goes to his lovely family. @thecameronboyce”
Peyton List posted a beautiful letter to Instagram, saying, “He was younger than me but taught me to spread love and kindness more than anyone that has ever been in my life. He lifted everyone around him and inspired/pushed me to be a better person than I ever would’ve been without his guidance, patience and love. Cameron, I love you with every ounce of me, and I thank you for the time I had with you, being in my life, and being my brother forever and always.”
Charles Esten, who played Cameron’s father on “Jessie,” shared a series of tweets remembering him on Twitter, writing, “It was a joy working with him on 'Jessie' as it was with all the wonderful young stars of that beloved show. They were as close as actual brothers and sisters to one another, and still are, and my heart breaks for them today.”
Debby Ryan, the titular Jessie in “Jessie” also broke her silence on Cameron’s passing this morning by posting a video of Cameron to her Instagram story in which he discussed making the world a better place.
Descendants director Kenny Ortega penned a series of Instagram posts, each with touching tributes. In one post with the cast’s hands placed together, he wrote, “Cameron brought Love, Laughter and Compassion with him everyday I was in his presence. His talent, immeasurable. His kindness and generosity, overflowing. It has been an indescribable honor and pleasure to know and work with him. I will see you again in all things loving and beautiful my friend.”
The news of Cameron’s passing clearly shook Hollywood as the outpouring of love has continued throughout the entire weekend.
Many fans have also voiced their grief on social media through posts honoring Cameron.
Fan Alex stated, QUOTE, R.I.P to everyone’s favorite freckled face Cameron Boyce wow this really hurt broken I grew up watching him as a young kid on Jessie you never know when it’s someone’s time to go cherish every moment with your friends & family this boy was only 20 years old #RIPCameronBoyce ”
Another fan, Maja, posted on Twitter saying, QUOTE, “He was part of my childhood. He was amazing person and actor. He was and he will always be light in a darkness. Our Angel, Cameron Boyce.

In Cameron’s final interview, he credited his family for setting a positive example of the meaning of giving back. He said QUOTE, “There’s a long line of difference makers in my family. I’m following in the footsteps of some really strong men and women who have showed me what it means to give back; it’s the greatest way to fulfill yourself.”
