Camila Mendes & Boyfriend Victor Houston SPLIT After 5 Months

24-year-old Camila Mendes has split with her boyfriend of about 5 months Victor Houston, according to multiple outlets. A source told E! News QUOTE, “Camila ended things with Victor after ComicCon, when she realized she wasn't ready to be in this relationship anymore...Victor was completely blindsided and is very heartbroken.”
Camila and Victor were first rumored to be dating back in June, and shortly thereafter it was confirmed that the pair were indeed an item. Camila and Victor attended neighboring high schools in Florida, and they reportedly started dating in April of this year, before the relationship was confirmed in June.
While neither Camila nor Victor have commented on the breakup, the E! Source said of the split QUOTE, “He [Victor] has been receiving a lot of backlash from the Riverdale community, even though it was actually Camila's choice to end the relationship.”
Before the breakup, Camila opened up about having a relationship with a non-actor in Nylon’s July cover story, saying QUOTE, “It’s funny because I’m more hesitant to talk about it because I don’t want him to read this...It’s just dating people in the industry is tough. I did for a little bit. I’ve just dated actors. It’s hard when that’s your world...I realize that I don’t think I like actors. Actors are really emotionally complicated. You would think they would be more in tune with their emotions, but sometimes they’re just not. I just really need to get out of this industry with someone who is in a stable environment.”
Camila is currently in Canada filming season 3 of ‘Riverdale’, so at least she’s got plenty of distractions to keep her mind off the breakup!
