With a track as successful as “Bodak Yellow” I’m sure Cardi B was asking herself, how the heck am I supposed to follow that up? And I think it’s safe to say that a collab with Beyonce is a pretty solid follow up. So as for where the rumors are coming from, Cardi B’s engineer, Michael Ashby posted a photo to his instagram story that hinted at a possible Beyonce Cardi collab because their names were clearly visible on the engineer stuff and some people think they saw the word “demo.” In the caption he wrote – “This feature is big.” And It wouldn’t be farfetched at all if they really have been working on music together because remember when they were spotted at the Made in America festival in Philly over Labor Day weekend?? Cardi posted a photo of them meeting each other with the caption saying QUOTE -"B*TCH I met Beyonce B*tch !!!!!!!!!!!!" But you guys get this, what if they already knew each other and were already working together then?! Naturally fans have already weighed in. One fan tweeted - “I am here for it. This is my song!!!! I don’t care that it hasn’t dropped yet… This is my mf song!”
I’m guessing that the collaboration could be added to Cardi’s debut album because the album was supposed to drop this month but has been suspiciously pushed back. Pushed back to include Queen B I think yes. Cardi spoke about her album to the Associated Press saying QUOTE - “I’m a little nervous to put the project out but I think it’s gonna do pretty good. It’s a lot of pressure on me. Everybody is waiting to see what I’m gonna have next and it’s like, I hope people love it. But I have confidence. I’m really good.”
