Cardi B EXPLAINS Her Name & Fallon Can't Contain His Laughter In Interview

Cardi B graced The Tonight Show when she sat down with Jimmy Fallon for what would be the best interview ever. And it all started when Jimmy questioned just where she got the name Cardi B. She began explaining that her sister’s name is Hennessy, so naturally, she was nicknamed Bacardi, but how Bacardi became Cardi B is actually all thanks to Instagram.
That’s how the name was born, but now it’s a name we all know thanks to her mega hit, Bodak Yellow, which Jimmy reminded her is a fantastic achievement becoming the first number one hit by a female rapper since 1998. And that’s not all she’s celebrating this year, now that she’s a wifey to be after getting engaged to Offset from Migos. And she had to show off the ring of course.
The most relatable moment ever. Cardi explained that she thought she was getting a watch, but it turned out to be an engagement ring. Best surprise ever?
Then things got real when the convo turned to the holidays. Turns out, Cardi’s not giving out any presents this year because everybody’s got kids and it’s just too. Many. Kids. Not to mention she’s QUOTE “got new god kids out of nowhere.”
Jimmy clearly had so much fun with this interview and made sure to tell her that he loves her and she’s got a whole lot more to give to the world, and you know what? We agree.
