Cardi B & Offset Got Secretly MARRIED Last Year After Marriage License Surfaces

The answer is yes, according to TMZ… and the marriage certificate they got their hands on. As we know, a marriage certificate is granted to prove the marriage ACTUALLY happened, so you don’t get one unless you got married. The certificate in Cardi and Offset’s names is dated QUOTE “the 20th of September, 2017, in the city of Atlanta, which would place their very public engagement about a month AFTER they were already legally husband and wife. If you can recall, Offset proposed to Cardi B during Powerhouse in October in front of all of their fans, in the sweetest way possible. Am I the only one dealing with trust issues as a result of this?
Now, the only question is… why the secret marriage? Especially considering the fact that it really doesn’t even seem like they’ve been trying to hide said secret marriage. For one, Offset has been referring to Cardi as his wife for quite some time now, and just this past weekend, he thanked his “wife” while accepting a BET award with Migos.
Naturally, that got the internet talking, and after the show yesterday, a lot of fans started speculating that maybe they really had secretly married last year, when rumors first started swirling. But nothing was confirmed until now. You can’t deny a marriage certificate, and to be honest, it doesn’t really look that they’re trying to deny anything.
Now it’s possible that, with a baby on the way, tying the knot, at least legally, was a good move. That way, if a wedding reception has to be be put on hold because… babies, they are married, and there’s a little less pressure, because they’re really only having to plan a celebration. After all, they have total different priorities now that they’re expecting their first child.
